# Website Importer

> The quickest way to migrate any website to Webflow. Paste a live URL and move the page into an editable Webflow project without rebuilding it.

Website Importer is a Webflow Designer app by [Kilo Volts Lab](https://kvolts-lab.com). It imports a public page from WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, custom HTML, or an AI-generated site (Lovable, v0, Bolt, Replit) into a Webflow project you can edit.

Install: https://webflow.com/apps/detail/website-importer

## Proof

- 200+ installs on the Webflow Marketplace
- 100+ sites already migrated
- Works with any platform or AI-generated site
- Free to install. No credit card required. Pay only when you import a page.

## What it is for

- Take an AI site to the next level. Keep the design from Lovable, v0, Bolt, or Replit and move it into Webflow so you can scale with CMS, client editing, and hosting.
- Migrate from WordPress without rebuilding every page, and leave plugin conflicts and slow performance behind.
- Move a site from Wix, Squarespace, Bubble, or custom HTML into Webflow without starting over.

## How it works

1. Paste any website URL into the app inside the Webflow Designer.
2. Get an instant quote based on page complexity.
3. Pay per page. It is a one-time payment.
4. The page builds itself in your Webflow project.

A company email can request a free trial of 3 imports at https://importer.kvolts-lab.com/#trial-form.

## Pricing

You pay per page. The price is a fraction of manual rebuild cost.

The on-site calculator estimates manual time as 15 seconds per element and 20 seconds per image, billed at a $60/hour industry rate. Website Importer is priced at about 5% of that manual cost. A default example of 250 elements and 50 images is roughly one hour of manual work versus a much smaller one-time page fee.

## What the import keeps

- Exact layout, duplicated with pixel-perfect accuracy on supported pages
- Scripts, CSS, and images, reused as they are
- Text, headings, and paragraphs, preserved as written

## What to know

- Import speed depends on your network, your computer, and Webflow's servers.
- Very complex pages with a large number of elements take longer.
- Single-page apps with client-side routing have limited support. Static and server-rendered sites work best.
- Forms, comments, and other dynamic behavior need manual setup after import.
- Images are not uploaded automatically yet. Download them (Image Magnet can bulk-download) and upload them to Webflow Assets.
- Webflow page-settings code blocks are limited to 5,000 characters. Longer snippets need to be hosted on a CDN and referenced from page settings.
- Most text content is edited like a regular Webflow site, on the canvas. Images, videos, and similar media use non-native elements, so those are edited from the element settings panel.
- After import, paste the head and before-body code the tool gives you into Webflow page settings. Without that, styles and scripts will not match the live site.

## FAQ

**I imported the site but the design doesn't look like the live site. What's wrong?**
Add the markup the tool gives you in the head element and before the closing body tag, from Webflow page settings. Those snippets load the styles and scripts that make the imported page look correct.

**The code for page settings is longer than 5,000 characters. Can I still use it?**
Yes. Host the code on a CDN and reference it from page settings, for example with a script src tag. The 5,000 character limit is a Webflow page-settings limit.

**How do I edit imported content?**
Most text content is edited like a regular Webflow site, directly on the canvas. Images, videos, and similar media use non-native elements, so those are edited from the element settings panel.

**How do I migrate images and other assets?**
Automatic image import is not available yet. Download images from the source site and upload them to Webflow Assets, then update the references. Image Magnet (https://image-magnet.com/) can download images in bulk.

**The import failed but I already paid. What should I do?**
